READING REQUESTS: 53 requests were made by these 18 production partners.

Numbers speak their own language, but only interpretation turns them into a narrative. We dare to tell a story:

“Once upon a time, there was a platform that screenwriters had founded to work in a supportive, structured environment on their visions. It was called ScriptDock, a Dock for screenplays.

The screenwriters all work for themselves, but can join forces at the Dock.

Eventually, they decided to make their work accessible to interested partners. They invited the producers to view online pitches!

By and by, a large number of very qualified production partners signed up. They are obviously interested in fresh stories.

Some of the productions partners submit reading requests for specific pitches. The authors decide who they trust and grant access to read. This leads to dialog, opportunities and new working relationships.

But many production partners do not submit reading requests.

Why this happens:

  • Their desks are overflowing with concepts, proposals and pitches. And yet, the broadcasting landscape looks a little poor at the moment.

  • The list is not selected enough for them. How are they supposed to recognize quality at a glance? Reading everything takes too long. They would rather continue to rely on the established authors.

  • Some of the pitches still need work. Working alone and without feedback means that the authors can fully develop their passions and ideas, but also their blind spots and mistakes.

  • The habits festered and a dragon came and hissed a jet of fire at all the sheets of paper that had been written on, burning them up, and with them the hopes and tears of the authors.”

Dude, where did the dragon come from?

Hey, and - paper?? Come on, we’re all digital!!

One thing is certain: the narrative is not yet finished.
You actually write it!

If you are a SCREENWRITER, come to the ScriptDock trainings, join the Membership!

Join forces for systematic work on quality. The originality of your voices will be valued and encouraged here. Find out more here.

If you are a PRODUCTION PARTNER: Let us know how we can help you find what you are looking for. And gain confidence in the quality of the authors.

The LIVE EVENTs are highly recommended for this, because there the scenes stand alone in the room. And either they are well written - you can tell immediately - or they don't make it.

The next ONLINE PITCH EVENT will take place in January 2025.

The next LIVE EVENT will take place at the Berlinale in February 2025.

Stay tuned :-)
