Paula Redlefsen

SHORT BIO:

I began my professional life driven by a passion for film and studied acting at HB Studios in NYC for three years. Relocating to Berlin after 9/11, I mainly played in English language productions, both on stage and for film. I worked on film sets of national and international TV movie productions in different positions, such as dialogue coach, casting director, and assistant director. Meanwhile, I started making my own short films, practicing film-making basics from script development to editing.

I finally realized that the core quality of an idea is shaped and expressed in the script, and I studied screenwriting.
2008 in a year-long screenwriting program with Wolfgang Pfeiffer at Ars Nova, followed by script development with Dr. Frauke Schmickl at Masterschool Drehbuch, accompanied by film-history seminars at HFF Potsdam Babelsberg.

In 2017 I co-founded the online platform www.scriptdock.de, a site to connect, inspire, and encourage scriptwriters in the modern, digital marketplace
